Reason I was wanting to comment, was my husband, and his family actually own a lot of that country you passed through. :) All of Rattlesnake Canyon, Rattlesnake Ridge, and further north, are all owned by the family!:) I'm sure if there's any questions or information you might have, or ideas of future trips, we'd be more than happy to help you out with whatever it is you need! My son and I missed the turn off for Paddy's River trail two years ago when we were hiking along the East Divide Trail and so spent the night near the summit of Kennedy Peak with little water to spare!
